Need a recommendation for a reliable small appliance repair shop for our venerable Kitchen Aid mixer. Thanks!

I can't testify personally, Ed, but if I remember correctly, there's a small-appliance repair shop that's been around for a long time on Bardstown just south of Eastern Parkway. Might be just vacuum cleaners, though. I'm not much help, am I?

Ed,
Have you contacted KitchenAid directly? I needed troubleshooting help and some parts for a 7+ year-old food processor. Their telephone help was top notch (no long holds, real people to talk to, efficient transfers to the right folks, etc). I have a stand mixer and I think when I wanted service they sent a shipping container to return the device to them. If "venerable" implies "really old", maybe they no longer service, but they might have suggestions for local place(?)

Thanks Robin & Jay for the suggestions. I should of thought of Kitchenaid first as they would probably be the best at fixing it. It's a stand mixer of indeterminate age as I am really bad at remembering how long we've had things. What seems like a month or so winds up being 10 years!

LOL, venerable. My Kitchen Aid mixer is 45 years old.
