Anyone ever had/baked one of these cakes?

I wanted to bump this up because season is now upon us . So...anybody ever bake one of these?

Okay, I didn't answer before because I looked at the recipe and thought, "Nope, never had it, don't want it, not my thang."

But maybe if I saw one on a buffay or on a restaurant menu I might try a tiny slice just to see what it's like.

Is it the fruit cake thing that doesn't appeal or the alcohol content that turns you off? Personally I cannot make up my mind about it.

I can't even explain it, Carla! I don't care for fruitcake, but I do enjoy alcohol. I think it was the picture. It just didn't look like something I'd like.

What?!! You don't like the looks of...boiled...white blob?!
(Yeah. I may have to rethink this endeavor.)
