OK, Professor Veneman is at it again.....

Setting the Way-Back Machine looking for a recipe.

There was, about in the mid-70's a wonderful place on Lexington Road call "Boston Fish Market". Not only did the have a plentiful and bountiful seafood buffet, but also on they served and incredable coleslaw with a hint of blue cheese. I know I'm not crazy because when I mentioned to a friend of mine that we used to take there for events (birthdays and like) he recalled it fondly himself.

Anybody have a clue if it is more than just the "cabbage" and blue cheese dressing (I have tried that and it's not exactly what I remember).

Thanks, as always!

I remember that place too Bill. Great cole slaw! I tried to duplicate it with the cole slaw dressing I usually make and added blue cheese crumbles to it. So mayo (I guess you could use a salad dressing but I prefer mayo) , a little sugar, some vinegar, celery seed and a bit of white pepper. Throw in a bunch of blue cheese bits. It wasn't exactly the same but it was still pretty good.
Still, keep in mind my signature....

Try a little buttermilk along with your mayo or whatever other dressing you're using, and a whole lot of celery seed.
