Appetizer

by Gayle DeM » Thu Apr 08, 2010 8:45 am

I need to bring an appetizer to a weekend retreaat in Milton, KY. Unfortunately, I have a sprained right wrist and, since I am the most right-handed person I know, I must pick something up at a local store. (Two other people are also bringing appetizers.) Any suggestions?

You might check the pre-made stuff at the deli counter at Whole Foods or Valu Market. Lotsa Pasta also has a lot of options at their counter - various pasta salads and other options.

Gayle,
Doll's has excellent appetizers and party trays. A number of more gourmet/ interesting options. They also have the makings for little country ham biscuits which you could do left-handed. Just ask about them at the deli counter.

If you belong, Costco has some very good appetizers (both freshly made and frozen), and if I remember Sam's had the same. Otherwise, Dolls and Whole Foods both good.

One other option is to hit a place like Rootie's that has the best wings in town, and buy a batch to take with you!

Looking for more ideas! Love the ideas so far, and I gotta bring something to a Derby party. Thanks!
