The Ham Sammich, Rethought

by Stephen D » Mon Jan 11, 2010 6:41 pm

Ok, here's a fun little idea I wanted to share...

It's not finished, but I think you're gonna enjoy the concept. Proscuitto-wrapped fusilli (Italian thin breadsticks) are so good with their crunchy crispiness and salty unctuousness. So I was thinking of wrapping grissini with spinach and then proscuitto. Then a dipping sauce could be served on the side- a tomato aiolli All of the elements of a good ham sandwich would be present, just reconfigured...

Can't wait to try it!

Aren't they grissini? I understood fusilli as a pasta shape.
