No cilantro....what can I use?

Making a red lentil soup, spicy. It calls for cilantro, and I forgot to pick any up. You add it at the end, so I'm thinking it isn't essential.
Anything else I could add for a "bite" at the end?

I cant think of any thing that would really sub well for cilantro,as its a pretty unique flavor, but maybe celery leaves might work OK. Wouldn't really say it could add a "bite" but its the closest thing I can come up with for a substitute.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I think Ill just wait until tomorrow to make it. If the roads here clear up a bit, I'll run and get some. If not, I'll skip the cilantro.

Some thinly sliced green onions work well in a pinch, If your adding it at the end of a recipe.
A different flavor but you still get that nice fresh green color!

Hmmmm... not a cilantro fan myself so I would say maybe some shaved soap flakes.

I keep a jar of Swad's Cilantro/Coriander Chutney in the house. It is delicious and has turned my dh, who has always dislike cilantro, into a coriander chutney fan.

If you have some rosemary in your garden, it can be placed whole in the broth and fished out later...
