Are there any grocery stores open today?

Ok. I screwed up royally and didn't make it to the grocery store before the Christmas Eve closings yesterday. (Long story, involving car accident. Don't ask.)

Does anyone know if there's a grocery store open on Christmas Day within the Waterson? Actually doesn't have to be inside the Waterson. We're in The Highlands, but I'd travel to Hurstbourne or slightly further if necessary. It would just be nice if I didn't have to travel too far.

I know that I convenience stores are open (and I'm assuming Asian markets) but I need a pretty substantial list of items. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about "grocery" stores but I'm really glad our local Dairy Mart was not only open but has a small produce section. We endured the mad house in Kroger's yesterday. I asked hubby (who does most of the cooking and shopping), "Do we need onions?" HIs reply? "No. We've got several." Guess what? Not a fresh onion to be found in the house. I usually keep chopped onions in the freezer, but the bag was empty. Fortunately, I had quite a few dehydrated onions on hand, but it's just not the same is some dishes. Dairy Mart to the rescue! $0.49 a pound for medium yellow onions, so we didn't have to pay a king's ransom for them either.

Trisha, Good advice. I'm trying to be Zen about it. Making some scrambled eggs & biscuits right now. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Happy holidays everyone.
