Asian Marts?

by Mari B » Wed Dec 23, 2009 1:10 am

Hello there!
I was wondering if anyone know where I could pick up some Salmon Roe (Ikura)? I know Whole Foods carries it, but its ridiculously pricey for such a tiny amount. I know I've seen it at an Asian Mart, but I can't remember which one! Does anyone know where I could find it in Louisville? I already tried that huge Asian Grocery Mart (Da hua?) on Preston, and also that small one right by Koreana on Preston. Any help would be great. I was hoping to get it for Christmas, and I know ordering it online will be of no use :(

♥♥Thanks in Advance!♥♥

I get my salmon roe at International Market on Taylorsville Rd in JTown. It's an Eastern European market, but the same salmon roe (at least to my taste). And it isn't expensive. The gentlemen behind the counter can tell you the quality differences.

International Star market on Taylorsville Rd. has a chocolate covered cheese that is to die for!
It is frozen, and comes in individually wrapped colored foil! OMG, not to mention their frozen cakes!
Dark breads. etc. Incredible.
