Pot-Luck Pasta Salad

by Marsha L. » Tue Dec 22, 2009 8:11 pm

I'm getting ready to make pasta salad for a pot-luck at work tomorrow. Mine's really good, although it's sort of traditional - shell pasta, red and green bell pepper brunoise, celery, celery seed, Miracle Whip, sea salt, fresh ground black pepper, cheddar cheese cubes.

Someone at work wanted olives. I don't care for olives, I think I'll take her some kalamatas on the side.

What do you put in your pasta salad?

I like to use bowtie and I add sundried tomatoes, red onion, artichoke hearts, and feta. For the dressing I do olive oil, balsalmic, s&p, and fresh basil if I have it. Mmmmm - I want some now!

Agree, lose the whip. We go with a red wine vin/olive oil in ours.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

That sounds simple, classic, and tasty.

I am partial to Marsha's recipe myself, when I crave Pasta salad it is usually accompanied by some BBQ dish of some kind and I like the extra "zip" the whip gives :D

Whip-haters beware! Your moms are putting sugar in their mayo-based macaroni salad. My bowl was TOTALLY empty when I retrieved it.
