Raw Peanuts

by Nancy Inman » Tue Dec 08, 2009 5:40 pm

A friend asked if I knew where to get raw peanuts. I said "no" but I know a wonderful group of foodies, and I am sure one or many of them will be able to give us an answer. So where can I buy raw peanuts?

I know Jungle Jim's in Cinci sells huge bags of raw peanuts.

We just went to the stores the other day and got raw peanuts from Meijer. They were in the produce dept. Of course this was the one in New Albany, but they should have it at all of them. We use them to make peanut brittle.

You can get raw peanuts in the shell at the little ethnic grocery next to DakShin.

I know this because a friend from Georgia gets his there to make goober peas!
