This one is for the bacon lover!

Also, look for "Bacon Jam" under meats!

Thank you for posting, Heather. Those items have my younger son's name written all over them. I don't know how I am going to be able to make a choice.

Sad to say, I could find nothing on the site to convince me that it was a secure site. Additionally, there was no option for me to not become a "member" with stored credit card data. :( It was such a perfect gift for my son.

It looks like the site is a storefront for a bunch of small retailers, Gayle. I noticed that the checkout page is encrypted (your browser should show a padlock on the status bar), but the fact that they store your credit card number is a shame. My credit card company issues single-use numbers for just these occasions, so you might want to see if yours does.

On the other hand, you can go to the retailer's website directly at http://www.theredheadnyc.com/products/bacon-peanut-brittle. It looks like they use Google checkout, which I've used for purchases in the past.

I understand your concern Gayle. Glad you were able to place an order after all.

This foodie gift suggestion came from "Chowhound" so I assumed it was going to be on the up and up.

glad it worked out!
