Irish Bacon

by Gayle DeM » Mon Nov 30, 2009 2:24 pm

From my younger son's face book page (He was in Dublin for last week.)
I didn't really think there was any room for improvement with bacon, but imagine Canadian bacon had sex with regular bacon. Their offspring would be Irish bacon and it's delicious!

So, is there any place in Louisville that sells Irish bacon or do I have to order it online?

Yes, I have seen it around here...thought it was both truly strange and exciting...now to remember where I saw it... thinking Burgers? but not confident on that guess... The stuff I found was frozen, so not sure if it will still give the true flavor...

Thank you, Heather. I'll be checking that out, too.

For clarification, when James talks of Canadian Bacon, since he lived there during his high school days, he is referring to Peameal Bacon, not the little presliced packages I can buy at Krogers.
