Reading the cocktail party thread made me realize we have the making of a wonderful cookbook here on the forum.
Just sayin'. :) :)

Sounds like a great idea! I met a small publisher in Chicago at the NRA show this year..I'll have to find those papers and contact numbers. Count Me In!!!! The last edition of the "Secrets of Louisville Chefs Cookbook" is at least 5 years old...We can definitely get a little more current than that!

Fabulous!! With all the talent we have here this could be a real winner.

I'd buy one in a NYC second. Love to contribute as well.

Becky and I have a couple of recipes that might deserve consideration...We're proud of 'em anyway. Count us in. BTW, this could be a nice fund raising idea. God knows how many $$$ have been raised by religious and civic organizations doing this kind of thing.

If we really want to do this, my wife Mary is a small-press expert and could definitely set up a book on a "print-on-demand" basis, which is absolutely the way to go in the 21st Century. No inventory, no payment until there's a book order. Get an order, press ze button, out comes a book ... and you can set it all up with PDF files.

I've got tons of recipes, many of them published in The Wine Advisor FoodLetter over the years and formatted and ready to go.

If we're really interested in this under the HotBytes logo - and yes, it should definitely be done as a 100 percent fund-raiser for a local charity - anyone want to propose an organizational setup?

What was the charity that Marsha mentioned a few times? I remember it seemed like a good idea.
I think this wouold be a great money making idea and an excellent way to get the Hotbytes name out to the public.

It wasn't an existing charity, Gary - I've always thought it'd be nice if we created a sort of grant fund to give small awards to promising restaurant/associated business start ups - buy them a sign, pay for their membership (after they've been going a year) into KRA or Louisville Originals, that sort of thing. I don't want to create a lot of work for us, but I wonder if we could find a simple way to administrate it?

If you can figure anyway for me to help put this project together. Count me in. I've got the time.
