I have a friend requesting and angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries for his birthday on Sunday (His actual description was fluffy cakes with fluffy whipped cream icing often with cherry or strawberry syrup) Is it worth making a homemade angel food cake? That is one I have never tried before. Any ideas?

ohhhhh... I have been making these for my kids, family, and visitors for weeks now. They are so good, my mother just likes the strawberries mixed with the cream, also very good....
Michele, if you go ahead and make a "from scratch" angel food cake, don't overlook making an egg yolk sponge cake with the leftover egg yolks. IMHO, this is the best reason for making a "from scratch" angel food.
