Cobblestone Bread, anyone?

by Tammy U » Mon May 04, 2009 12:41 am

I was watching an old ep of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and there was a diner making French Toast from Cobblestone Bread (described as a sweet bread full of cinnamon, walnuts, apples and brown sugar). They were slicing a loaf of it, and it pretty much looked like Monkey Bread baked in a loaf pan. Does anyone know if my assumption is correct as I can't exactly find a recipe for Cobblestone Bread? I'd love to make a loaf and use it for French Toast...any suggestions on how to proceed (and I do not want to use refrigerated biscuit cans!)?
