Fiedler Family Farm New Bacon

by Mary Anne » Tue Apr 14, 2009 11:23 am

I picked up a package of the *new* bacon Jim Fiedler is selling now at the BRFM, his wonderful heritage pork and Broadbent's curing and I have to tell you, it was worth trying. A 1 lb package is $8. Some country bacon can be a little too country for me, but this was bang on. Salty but not too, with a hint of smoky sweetness and porky goodness that wouldn't stop. I have a new favorite treat. And apparently hams are hanging as we speak...

I love Bacon...Bacon is my friend.

I hope by saying that I haven't created my own epitaph :-)

Thanks for the "heads up" we'll give it a try.
