Girl Scout Sugar-Free Chocolate cookies. These things are dry as the Saharah. Sorry, Scouts, but as far as I'm concerned you could coast on Samoas forever, so - no hard feelings.

My better late than never 2 cents:

calamari, oysters (especially raw, ew!), organ meats, raw tomatoes, licorice, sardines, raw green peppers

I can take on just about anything else. I even like tofu in small quantities. The crispy fried tofu at Lemongrass is awesome!

I was vegan/vegetarian for about 10 years until I realized that the mock meats I had been (rather lazily) replacing meat with are actually way worse for your health than good old farm-raised meat. There's an enormous nutritional difference between factory meat (McDonald's, Tyson) and farm meat (Foxhollow, Fielder Family Farms). I had no idea just how big of a difference there was until I read Death by Supermarket by Nancy Deville. It's an awesome book for anyone who is particularly interested in nutrition. Not to rain on everyone's delicious food parade! :)

This is exactly why I quit eating beef and switched to bison raised at the Woodland Farm in Goshen, KY without the use of steroids, stimulants, or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. They sell it downtown at the KY Bison Company. I am not anal about it but I do try to buy food that has been minimally processed. Not only is it better for the food, it just tastes better. Isn't that what eating is all about? Well, maybe not ALL, but a large part.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I was spoiled as a child and lived on the coast of north carolina for a few years so I love seafood. Fish, shrimp, lobster, crab (sometimes), oyster, mussels, and clams are all so delicious! I could eat a lobster out of it's shell no problem but...
I hate meat on the bone! Chicken wings and ribs are so nasty to me I can barely watch someone else eat them !
I also really hate raw onion and tomato. either are great cooked but raw, yuck!

I was going to agree with you Doogy until I clicked on the link for the maggot cheese. That is something that I probably couldn't stomach. Also, the idea of the century egg has always bothered me a bit, but I would try it if I ever had the opportunity.

Watermelon............texture issue, love the flavor. Sweetbreads. Pigs feet. Pumpkin, squash, zucchini. Hard shell crab (love the soft shell), head cheese. Tripe, snout, tails of any kind.

Just to clarify the record for lookers-on, there are many sources for locally produced, all-natural, non-steroidal, grass-fed, humanely raised beef. Dreamcatcher Farm, Stonecross Farm, Fiedler Farm, all available at the produce markets and, in the case of Dreamcatcher, Stan's Fish Sandwich. The meats at Preferred Meats in Sellersburg. The Kentucky Green River Beef always available at Doll's. And, a bit less locavorish but still natural, the beef at Whole Foods.

Bison is fine, although its extreme leanness does give it a different flavor and texture character than steak. But it's misleading to imply that it's the only natural alternative.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned escargot yet...I don't care how much garlic butter you put on them, they still taste like dirty rubber bands to me.
I worked in a restaurant in Arizona where we sourced fresh slugs that came in burlap bushel sacks still alive and squiggly. We cooked them ourselves and THEN had to pick those nasty little buggers out of their shells with a wooden skewer. YUCK!!!!

I will also have an intense gag reflex if I come across runny egg yolk. I gotta have them scrambled!

After reading this entire thread I'm awed by the vast diversity in likes, loves and distastes. As they say, one man's meat...
Wouldn't it be nice if we could line up in life according to our likes and dislikes? I would stand behind the folks that hated sardines, raw oysters, head cheese and escargot and they could just pass their allotment on to me! I, in turn, would be happy to pass along any pate', blueberries, tripe, talapia or liver that came my way. :wink:
