Yes, folks, another bacon idea

I'm not sure this would be to my taste, but I offer it up in the forum's unending quest for new uses for bacon.

If you don't remember Gary...

We had been doing Bacon brittle off and on in various forms through the Todd and Duane era.

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

I made a run to Old Town Liquors last night and noticed that they are carrying a new brand of chocolate bar. Cannot remember the name, but I did notice that there was a bacon & chocolate version. I stared at it for several minutes before I ended up placing it back on the shelf. I should have gotten it.

Vosge Chocolates, based out of Chicago.
They've had them for around a year.

Amazing, delicious and exciting chocolates.
I applaud their bold flavor pairings that continue to stay outside the box and excite people to try new things.

They have 5 locations nationwide, the nearest being their two boutiques in Chicago.
Small shops, but very cool to check out.

The bar you're referring to is 'Mo's Bacon Bar'.

I'm eager to try their new Chocolate and Mushroom Bar (which is an incredible flavor pairing, you guys... truffles too.)

I'm still a bit urked that my girl went through a random womanly chocolate craving attack one night and ate all of the white chocolate and kalamata olive bar i picked up... didn't even save me a taste. :(

OK. My husband just left for Old Town a few minutes ago because we seem to have burned through the wine I purchased last night. Could be the angel's share, who knows. Anyway, I told him about the bacon/chocolate bars and sort of suggested that he might pick one up if he was so inclined.

He looked at me like I had two (possibly three) heads. I'm guessing that I'm not getting my bacon-cholocate bar this go around.

Yep. He's back now and a swing through our kitchen confirms that there is no bacon/chocolate bar for me.

...There's always tomorrow. It's always a day away.

Yes I do remember- and I have the extra isomalt to prove it. I think it is the whipped cream with the sweet bacon I have a bit of problem with.
The bacon chocolate bar though- that is on my must try list.

Here is a new one that our sales force is seeing on menu's in the country. Country fried bacon sandwich. They bread the bacon and deep fry it. They serve it like a BLT only breaded and deep fried. Bet it great on the oil.
I always think better with a full stomach.

I've had the Mo's Bacon bar and it is awesome! Bacon madness is sweeping the nation! Just thinking about it makes your mouth water, right? I'm planning to make some bacon fudge soon.

I've seen chocolate covered bacon strips being sold at a candy maker in NYC.

Ethan, What is bacon brittle? Sounds intriguing.

Have you seen the meat boat?

I got these "piglets" yesterday, and yes, they are as addictive and incredibly yummy as you might imagine. Salty, sweet, just slightly greasy...
