I will NOT dissappoint.

I am writing you down right now. Bring your drinkin' britches. There are costume prizes and booth-decoratin' prizes.

No drinking-prowess prizes, except my frank admiration. I am usually in the bag by two, little mini-nap in the truck for a half-hour, then I'm good for the judging and the after-party/dance in the Saloon.

You are down. In INK.

So, what your saying is that we will dress up in drinking britches? That's gonna take a little creative thought - but I'll deliver. We will reign the costume contest (suggestions suggested, though).

And is there a cot-for-two in the nap car?

Should I be thinking about cow-girl boots?

I'm marking it on my calendar with a wide tipped sharpie.
*Need a calendar though...*

John says: *sigh* "I vow to clean out the truck bed and we will put the futon mattress back there for you girls to nap on. Meanwhile, I and others will man the booth while you girls get your beauty sleep, but we will sell photo-options outside the truck hatch with you two in background."

Now, that is Phoenix Hill Chili-Cook-Off-'In - to the max. I would only add that you and I, Jackie, get 30% of proceeds from the photo-ops...if anybody's dumb or drunk enough to pay for a picture of us sleeping with a giant plush chili.

Do we have a giant plush chili??? I know where to find a chili wall shelf (chin tucked in chest) - Doogie! We have to have a wreath of chilis, herbs, and beef (or whatever you're planning as the protein - I'm cool with soybeans, too) outlining us like emergency "do not cross" tape.

John deserves a medal - maybe one of our US Ryder cup winners can part with one!!! (Did they get medals?... anyway)

Doog! Where are you for this?

Oh, and I don't actually have a Radio Flyer, but I do drive a heap of tin. It would be so cool if I could park it like right in the back of your pick up and we'd nap atop. *dreaming*

***Suitable footnote - I'm currently listening to "I'm on Fire" by Springstein - swear to goodness.

Well, If I am being invited, I shall attend. I love chili and beverages and all the folks on this board I have met are very nice people. This would be a great opportunity to enlarge my circle of LHB friends. Please keep me in the loop on this. Thanks, Doogy.

BTW, Jackie, you spelled it Doogie...LMAO. You are a funny woman and that is a good thing.

AND doog, I just had a thought. Maybe we can incorporate lamb fries. Maybe find a place to purchase the little suckers, cook 'em up, and have 'em on hand for a bizzaar snack. What say?

I am totally up for some lamb fries. Do you really want to borrow my chili shelf? I could do that. A guy I was to school with back in the late 90's made it for me as a b-day gift. I love it.

The Naga Jolokia has been a hot topic (yeah, I said it) at work recently and I want to get my paws on one. Does anyone know a source in Louisville?

BTW, Doogy R, have you seen this entertaining Naga Jolokia video?:
