Le Creuset Recipes

by Kris Billiter » Tue May 20, 2008 12:39 pm

Hello all. Hope you are all doing well. I bit the bullet and bought a 5 qt oval LC yesterday with some graduation money. Anybody got any ideas on what we our first stab at cooking at it would be. I'm open to suggestions if any of you all have any. Thanks!

Congrats on your purchase! I love all my LC. How about some braised beef short ribs? If you go to Recipe Zaar, there are several recipes for braised short ribs. YOu can choose one to your liking. I use mine for everything, great for soups too. Keep in mind that any LC product will really hold the heat and I find makes things cook a bit faster.

So I cleaned out my recipe/cookbook cupboard today. I ran across two cookbooks for which you may wish to search. Mediterranean Cooking by Carla Cpalbo (part of the LeCreuset cookbook series) published by Simon and Schuster in 1997. Many of the recipe are made for with the Le Creuset Dutch ovens in mind. The other cookbook is Dutch Oven Cooking by Ray Overton published by Longstreet, Atlanta, Gerogia in 1998.
