Heritage Turkey / Local Turkey

by Will Terry » Mon Nov 01, 2021 11:19 am

I'd love to support a local farm and buy a heritage breed turkey. Elmwood in Georgetown keeps popping up, but they want $20 a lbs... I don't have a problem with spending $200 on a turkey, but they seem to be doing just fine, so I'd love to find some other local to Louisville options... I usually just source local beef and bison, so I am a little lost on this one.

Any help is appreciated!

Maybe this would be a handy reference for you.

There used to be a dressed bird seller in Brooks KY where I bought ducks and pheasants but gee, that was 30 years ago. I couldn't find anything on line.
