Nuts and Stuff

by John Hagan » Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:23 am

I know this isnt really news, but Nuts and Stuff is a pretty cool little shop. I had heard it mentioned a few times here on the forum, and only yesterday finally stopped by. I needed some juniper berries for a brine Im making and thought of them, as I was somewhat in the neighborhood. They had the berries, and it was nice to only buy the amount needed as opposed to a large package. Also ended up walking out with some licorice allsorts(for me) and a pound of wasabi peas(for Anne) for a very reasonable price. The owner seems to be a pretty colorful character and chatted with him for a bit. If you have not been over there, its worth checking out.

The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I love going into Nuts N Stuff. Lots of neat bulk spices and odd/hard to find items. And always a fresh pot of coffee brewing to add to the great aromas. Well worth a trip.
