Peppers

by TrishaW » Tue Jun 29, 2010 9:05 pm

Hey! I got a bunch of pepper plants from John earlier this summer. They are starting to come in now. I've got alot of the large jalepeno peppers (Biker Billy's?). Anyone tell me how to stuff and fry them successfully? I'll be making jalepeno jelly too.

My ghost chilis are LOADED with peppers maturing AND still blooming. YEAH!!!!
My little Thai plant has probably over 200 peppers on it at the moment.

Trisha,

PM me if you want some ideas for stuffing the Biker Billy's...Mine aren't quiet as far along as yours (but then again I pinched mine back when they started getting O.C. too early...so there is still plenty of time). Most recently I stuffed some japs with with sausage and eggs and wrapped them in bacon. Awesome.

BTW...and I'm serious...be VERY careful with those Jolokia's. I've always thought Habanero's were kind of over rated when it comes to heat (I've made "poppers" with them). Jolokia's are another story. These things are as hot as advertised. ANYTHING that comes in contact with them (storage container, knife, etc) can transfer the heat...Even latex gloves aren't sufficient protection from the heat and don't EVEN touch any <eh-hem> sensitive body parts (yours or anyone else's) after handling these peppers. I'm serious these things are some bad MoFo's.
