My neighbor used to make a cream cheese-jello-pretzel salad that was the bomb. Sweet, salty, creamy. And you could buy all the ingredients necessary from a gas station quickie shop!

Carla, that just reminded me of my mom's "company" salad- lime jello with balls of cream cheese rolled in pecans suspended in it. Even as a child I couldn't wrap my head around that one.

I will fess up….my guilty completely unfoodie favorite is bologna on white bread with dill slices, parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. This is one of my few childhood favorites I still love. I also LOVE those Little Debbie chocolate filled rolls, completely fat-filled, processed, absolutely no redeeming qualities.

Ahhhh, but Little Debbie's do have a redeeming quality. They taste good. :) Oh, and they're inexpensive. :D

Ahhh....swiss cake rolls. Sweetened shortening rolled up in chocolate cake, and dipped in a chocolate-like substance. LOVE them. I crave those when I'm sick.

Cheetos. They're horrible in every way, but I love them.

Back in the 1990s, when I was in my 20s, there was a dive bar on the LES of Manhattan. They served PBR or Red Stripe and Cheetos. Nothing quite hits the spot like a big bowl of Cheetos (just try not to think of all the drunken hipsters who've had their hand in it) at 2 am.
