Anyone use one of those "Green Egg" smoker/grill contraptions? Been considering one. I have a pretty good double grill with gas and charcoal/smoke box options but I'm always looking to up-grade equipment.

We had one at Equus that got used pretty regularly. I loved it. I never used it as a grill though.
It was very easy to maintain a constant temperature for smoking due to the ceramic construction and the easily sliding dampers.

A few people use them on the BBQ circuit...I've never used one but they definitely have their fans. Spendy little critters though. Here's a link to pretty good forum article on them.

I think Steepleton's on Hubbards had these on sale.

The first bout in the P-man's summertime NY Strip Steak challenge is in the books (Butchers Best vs Kroger). After blind judging by my lovely bride, the winner is Butcher's Best but by a surprisingly slim margin.

They had one out back of Corbett's when it first opened, and I assume they still do. Corbett's and Equus, that's pretty darn good testimony for me!
