I'll second the Costco pizza!!!

I've bought their deli style and brought them home. We're members, but we only go out there every couple of months. And when we go, I end up spending a ton of money! My husband seems to think every time you go out there, you should buy a new HD TV!!!! :shock:

Okay. Who remembers getting VERY excited as kid, when mom would pull out the Chef Boyardee Pizza Kit?! SeriousEats.com's "Slice" section had an article about this 70's favorite today. Now I seriously want to make one. Looks like it's still available. I just know I'm going to find myself in the pizza-kit aisle of ValuMarket in a few minutes. Here's the article....

I find the egg/leftover pizza combo ezpecially revitalizing. ; }

Actually, no, no I don't. My wife even makes her own pizzas at home from scratch, dough, sauce and all. She even cooks them on a stone! 8)

My wife & I make our pizza from scratch as well. I make the crust, she makes the sauce & we both help with the toppings. We also grow our own herbs. They've become quite the hit at our parties. I haven't had a frozen pizza in years but I do remember enjoying Amy's 3 Cheese Pizza with Cornmeal Crust.

We've layered fresh-diced organic tomatoes, mozzarella, shredded Parmesan and crumbled goat cheeses on our light, tender hand stretched crust with cornmeal added for extra flavor.

Well ,since this thread has a couple of " I dont eat frozen crap disks" folks now, Ill jump on that wagon as well. We dont go for that frozen stuff either. We get a frozen ball of pizza dough from LotsaPasta let it thaw overnight in the fridge. We cut it in half and roll out two very thin crusts,almost thin enough to see thru. We then build the pizza on a stone and put it in the oven. If we dont want to make our own sauce we use a can(gasp) of lotsapasta marinara or the spicy Schiavones(SP?) sauce they carry. Top with some fresh Lotsapasta mozzarella and a few basil leaves and your good to go. While I understand this is not the same,it really does not take that long to put it together,and cost would come in around 12 to 15 bucks(6 to 7 bucks each) for two good size pizzas.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

The Tiseo's frozen pizza dough at Meijers is pretty nice as well. I can toss out a nice thin 12" after letting it thaw out over night in the fridge.

OK, I admit, I've been buying these for years. Sort of like canned ravioli, it fills a nostalgic void like nothing else can. I grew up eating pizza made from these boxes in the 1960s so for me it's like home cooking...in a weird sweet saucy powdered cheese kind of way...and actually the crust when made really thin is quite good... Try it LeAnn, $3.99 at Kroger...I just bought one this afternoon... :D

I am going to join in since you mentioned the Chef Boyardee. I use the mix and make a jelly roll pan full. I use 1# of hamburger, large onion, large red pepper, sliced mushrooms, and 2-3 cups of graded cheese. I get the corner pieces and my Husband gets the inside. Usually a Sunday night supper, I am glad to be reminded. More than one meal!!

Thanks for the idea, it works great. The wife and I have downed 6 "homemade" pizzas since your post, some with pizza sauce and some woth Steve P's bbq sauce. The Barn also carries Lotsa Pasta dough which really works great for that pizza and beer combo.
