Totally agree. I cannot stand that woman and why they give her another show is beyond my comprehension.

Re Rachael - I'll only put up with 30-Min Meals and that's only if there's nothing else on and it's usually as a backdrop to doing other things. I will absolutely not watch any of her other 50 million shows - she is so overdone and it seems like she thinks of herself as the cutest little thing that was ever on a food show.

Yeah, why does she have to smile from ear to ear while she's tasting her food? It must be hard to chew like that.

Slightly off topic....but that Andrew Zimmer guy from the bizarre food show has one of the most annoying habits. Every time that guy tastes something he rolls his head and his eyes back and acts like he never ever tasted anything so good before and then talks about it with his mouth still full of food. I can understand every now and again being really surprised and taken aback by how good something is...but really.... every freaking time you put something in your mouth you need to that song and dance??...come on.

LOL, you're right! I have noticed that too. Since we're going off-topic. . .

That Giada de Laurentis, she's hard to beat. I bet everybody likes her. I just think she's so pretty and sweet, and seems so down-to-earth and normal, in contrast to annoying freak RR.

Well, I'm not a fan of Rachel either, but she's made $$$ with her style, so I say more power to her. There is obviously a HUGE audience for her, and she's made a ton of money for herself and Food Network.

Alos, without the $$$ she's brought in to that channel, it's possible other less-popular-but-critically-respected shows would never come to fruition or would fail quickly. Again, while I don't like her shows and do find her annoying, her rise to fame is also a pretty good story and somewhat inspiring. She worked hard to get where she is, and frankly while I see no issue with not liking her show (just don't watch it), her recipes (just don't cook them), or her quirkiness or whatever (again, just don't watch her), I don't see the need for personal attacks on her.

Brad, get out of my brain today! I don't watch her show or anything, but I have the utmost admiration for the empire she's built. And I don't think she's exactly lying around on a chaise lounge being fed grapes by hand all day, either. I often wonder how she can possibly fit it all in - two or three cooking shows, a talk show, a magazine, product endorsements...

Also, I'm totally jealous of how rich she must be by now. But if I never hear "yum-o" again, it will still be too soon.

There is one valuable thing she taught me, although I'm sure she didn't invent it: "garbage bowl". John says I'm much easier to clean up after when I use that method, and he oughtta know - he does practically all the kitchen cleaning around here. Yes, he does have a brother, ladies - actually, he has three!

Every time Zimmern comes on tv i have to physically restrain my girlfriend from destroying the television while simultaneously switching the damn thing to something less annoying. I have learned to skip the travel channel altogether.

I don't argue with her success, and it really is a pretty cool story. But good luck just 'not watching her show'. She's EVERYwhere! And becoming way too cute-sy for me. I think what sent me over the edge was when she said, "I feel like Cinda-Rachael!" Ugh.

Unfortunately for those of us TRYING to avoid her, she is literally EVERYWHERE. Good for her for all her success, and all, but really, can't she just keep her face off of every single product? Do we all really need RR-approved olive oil, crackers, knives, pots, dog food, burger joints, coffee...am I missing anything? Next we'll have RR feminine products! I need a vacation from her face every once in a while. Rachael, give us a break!

Where is the runaway bus when Rachel or Sandra are out and about. As a guy I love to see women of talent in the kitchen, shivers rundown my spine when those two are on air I suppose there is a reason why they are on and I or other local talent are not. They both do less with more than any face on Food Network.

Duff has to have something on somebody, his act gets cold and slimy fast.

Bring back Justin Wilson (Yes I know he is dead) at least he was entertaining when he was silly.
For the uninitiated, he was on when Sears was at it's previous location and the Ranch House was still on Bardstown Road next to the Toy Tiger

Bourdain is a good reason to watch, but I have all his books (if you haven't read typhoid Mary you should) plus he has done a couple of shows with Zimmern, it's gonna kill his street cred.
