Anyone have a refrigerator for sale.....

Robin i don't know if you mind me posting this here, it is my last resort. If i am out of line in anyway by posting this, by all means please make the executive decision and delete it.

That aside.....

I am REALLY needing a refrigerator. My fridge has been slowly not cooling as well. This past week nothing is keeping. I have had to throw away soooo many gallons of milk, cheese, and a whole bunch of other stuff. We have looked on Craigslist extensively, called around everywhere, i feel we have exhausted every option. We can't afford to go out and buy a brand new one, we just can't, it is not an option for us. As it is we are using my husband's book money for school to try and buy a new one.

If anyone knows of anyone that has a good working refrigerator for sale please let me know.

and.....if anyone is bothered by me posting this here and wants me to delete....let me know....i am being serious....i will delete it......

i will give them a call... i called the scratch and dent place here in New Albany, and they were too expensive for us. The starting prices were like $600. As for fixing the fridge, this one is not ours it is the landlord's. The policy was he will provide it, but if it messes up he will not fix it. It is a really old model, and we don't want to invest money in something that isnt ours.

i am embarressed that i had to post this here.....if it was just me and my husband....i wouldnt care about a fridge......it wouldnt be so pressing, know what i mean....

but.....it is my babies milk....and the kids food going bad and all of that....i have to sit my pride on the shelf for my kids...you know...

Becky, where do you live? There's a USED APPLIANCE dealer in Jeffersonville on Hamburg Pike near the junction with Spring Street and the east end of Eastern Boulevard. We've bought a few things from him over the past 15 years and were treated fairly. Let me know if you need any specific directions.

lois, I live in Jeff. I live off of Hamburg Pike near the Y. I can't picture the appliance place in my mind though....maybe if i drive by it. I might have to go there tomorrow during the day and check it out.

i am soooo tired of doing this already....i have been at this for about two weeks now, it is so discouraging...grrrr

keep up with craigslist. that's where i found my stove. i ended up getting it for only thirty dollars and it's a great stove. it was even clean when i picked it up. it might take some time but you'll find what you're looking for on craigslist for sure!

Becky, if you live on Hamburg Pike near the Y, just follow that back in towards downtown Jeff. After you pass Walnut Ridge Nursery and before you get to the T-intersection with Eastern Boulevard, you'll see the used applicance dealer on the LEFT. There are a bunch of vehicles, campers, trailers, etc. in front.

It's always a crap shoot as to what they have in stock, but I've purchased many used appliances from them including refrigerators for my rental units.

Actually, someone here on the board offered us a refrigerator. I was so surprised, because it was not my intent. But it is a blessing for us, i had to throw everything out. I just couldn't risk it with my children, it was all warm. So, this will help us a whole lot.

I don't want to give a name, because i want to ask first. We were having trouble finding a way to get it here, but my husband asked a friend of his and he is going to help him out and has a trailer to put it on. So, everything is falling into place. i am so happy, it has been a rough week.
