Red Pepper Chinese - yum

by Leah S » Sat Oct 10, 2009 9:00 pm

I had to indulge a craving for DanDan noodles last night, so off we went to Red Pepper. We parking in the last available space and went in to find a party of 8 and a party of 6 waiting. They were slammin'!

The wait staff were, quite literally, jogging around the dining room. Food was excellent as expected. DH had something called Chef Special Hot Chicken. It appeared to him to be most parts of the chicken, lightly battered and fried along with a *lot* of red peppers and garlic. I was in the mood for Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Don't ask. I hadn't had that dish in 20 years and just wanted it. And it was very good. The huge, and I mean huge, shrimp were battered and fried of course with the requisite pineapple, green pepper and onion, but still the whole dish was quite light.

We were happy and will be there again. And again.
