I've noticed some construction at the old Lentinis building.

Hello everyone I've been meaning to join for a long time so here we go. I.ve seen some consruction over at the old Lentinis building. I think T Lee is going to use this location into Cafe Mimosa since he does own the building.

Welcome to the forums Dave! We're glad to have you!

As for the Cafe Mimosa in the old Lentini's, I heard that same rumor a while back. I'm glad they're getting back on their feet. Their food was always a great deal.

Oh that's good news if true. We miss Mimosa (and their delivery), and if they reopen in the Lentini's space, now it's walking distance for us. Whoo hoo.

I've just confirmed that indeed, it's true - Cafe Mimosa is re-opening in the old Lentini's location. They are shooting for a mid-September opening. I'll update this thread when I know more!

I gazed across the street earlier and noticed- Cafe Mimosa's OPEN sign is lit! I immediately ran over and grabbed a to-go menu. We're putting together a carryout order right now..... mmm...

Menu looks like they evolved from Vietnamese with Americanized-Chinese to Vietnamese/Chinese/ Japanese/sushi (with the emphasis on the sushi). This isn't the Mimosa that I remember, at least.

I don't think it's been that Mimosa since Coco sold it to Mr. Le about ... seven or eight years ago? I lose track.

Yeah, the menu on their website is the same menu they've had for at least 3 years.

I went there for lunch today and it was as excellent as I remembered. I'm very happy they are open again! We got there about 1:00 and most of the tables were taken - we didn't have to wait but I didn't see more than about four open tables. The word of their reopening got out quickly.
