by Anthony U » Thu Jan 08, 2009 3:07 pm

Oh wise and all knowing forumites-

Does anyone have any insights as to what restaurants are offering wine discounts and when? Or any other great deals for that matter? Thanks!

I know Cafe Lou Lou had half prices bottles on Wednesday. Not sure if that is still going.

Both Napa and Volare have wine specials ( bar area only)- don't remember the days.

Varanese has "Wine Down Wednesdays"- a 1/2 price bottle of wine night every Wednesday ( no bar restriction)

North End Cafe does not currently offer half price wine nights. But, everyday they offer a great $25.00 and under wine list.

Ironically we just started on this this week.

Saturdays 1/2 price on select bottles of wine ( no bar restrictions )
Sundays $3.00 Imports and speciality drafts
Alan Hincks
Overtime Sports Bar and Grille

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Tony,
Is that special every night?

Are you still doing the 2for $20 special on Mondays? I think it was a salad, a pizza and two glasses for wine for $20.

Thanks,
Deb

Deb,

The Wine for Nine is every Wednesday, and we still do the Two for $20, which is very popular

Tony,

That's a great deal for the families in this area! I live in Springhurst and just forwarded it to my email list of neighbors.

Best of luck,

Volare is every day, in the bar area only. From their website:

"Half-Price Bottles of Wine:

Seven days a week, enjoy select, half-price bottles of wine."

This past fall Carly Rae's featured 1/2 price bottles on Fridays.

Made for some fine Indian summer evenings on their patio.
