It's official: Cafe Lou Lou adding Highlands location

by Robin Garr » Fri Jun 20, 2008 2:55 pm

Chef Clay Wallace confirms in Email that he has signed a lease on the Douglass Loop Deli location for a second Cafe Lou Lou, hoping to open by mid-August ... I've asked for more details (what will they call it? Cafe Lou Lou Two?) and will pass them along when Clay responds ... or better yet, Clay, if you're looking on, just jump right in.

I know we'll all be looking forward to having a Highlands option for this local favorite!

Robin, you certainly came up with a catchy name! Maybe chef Clay will pick up on it. Marsha are you listening?

Hope it is every bit as successful as the other two additions a local favorites are (Seviche and Mojito)!

It will be called Cafe Lou Lou in the Highlands and will offer about 80 percent of our curent menu and have limited delivery...thanks for everyone's support...I will be at the new location for the first few wekks and my Mother, helen, will be at the St. Matthews location, so there will always be a family member at both places to ensure the quality of food and service everyone has come to expect...

Thanks Again

Clay, you may call it that, but you know how places get their own unique Louisville names. This spot will forever be know as Cafe Lou Lou Two. It just rolls off the tongue. Don't fight it.

I'm very excited to hear this as well! I was in your St. Matt's store just this week, and greatly enjoyed the meatball sandwich. It was mentioned enough on this board that I just knew it had to be good, and it didn't disappoint! I like the Cafe' Lou Lou Two idea, but I'll always think of it as Cafe' Lou Loop, as mentioned in the previous thread about this!
