Cafe Emilie, er, ah, 60 West.......

by Bill Veneman » Thu Nov 15, 2007 3:55 pm

OK, I remember back in the annals of my feeble gray matter that there was some discussion of the changing of the guard at what is now 60 West. Could somebody be so kind as to refresh my memory, can't seem to recall who stayed, who went, and what changes were made. Or a link to the original thread would be helpful......

Thanks!

Cheers!

60 West is basicly Cafe Emily grown up and trendier. It is still owned by the beautiful Emily K and all the staff are still there. The menu has been updated and expanded to show the range of Tim Smith's expertise, although some tried and true favorites remain- especially on the lunch menu.
There is now a late night menu that they serve till 2 on the weekends.
There are also rotating art exhibits throughout the restaurant and bar.
The Sunday brunch is also still alive and kicking.

Thanks Gary for posting that for us! He is right everything is still the same, and unfortunately we have had a few staff changes. None of which we were happy about, but we all know how the restaurant business is. Bill we do hope to see you soon! Tim Smith and Chris Vanhoozer have put their wonderful creative touches on the new menus and I can't wait to see what you think! Thanks for the inquiry!

A late night menu on the weekends in the "heart of St. Matthew's"?

What a novel idea!!!! Something besides BWW and way better than the old White Castle...

Hey Ethan...Perhaps I'll see you there..It's not too far off the "beaten path"

I was just thinking that this might be well worth looking into...

i tried googling, but looks like no new site is up, and the Cafe Emilie site does have the new stuff or redirect anywhere...

not to say that it's not worth looking into blindly...
I've got complete confidence in Tim and crew's food.

We do have a site up with our new menus on it. It is http://www.60westbistro.com. We are currently working on finishing up the final touches to have the full site up, but as we all know this takes time! Thank you to all for your support. This has been a big change for us, and certainly a good change, however with this industry it is so hard to predict what will work! Tim and Chris in the kitchen are certainly the key though, everything they make melts in your mouth. They are truly blessed with wonderful talent! This is certainly not to discount any of the other staff, front and back of house are as well doing the best work ever! Come by and check us out for the late night. We have fabulous drink specials every night, except Sunday we are closed at night. We have half price martini's on Thursday and Saturday, half price bottles of wine Wednesday and Friday. Monday night we have $2 domestic beers, Tuesday is 2 for 1 Makers, and of course our wonderful bottomless mimosa brunch on Sunday. Once again, thank you for all your support, it helps through the rough times!

Emilie,

2 Questions:

1. Will you be adding more vegetarian menu items?

2. Will you honor Cafe Emilie gift certificates?

Thanks and good luck

Joe,
So sorry for the late response. This weekend has been very busy! As far as your questions, we do offer a few items on the menu that are vegetarian, and we are getting ready to make a few small changes to the menu and I believe Tim will be adding another dish that is vegetarian. We do our best to cater to all, however anythime there is anything that a customer would like a little different we will do our best to accomidate! As far as the gift certificates go, we do still take the Cafe Emilie gift cards and the Food & Dining gift certificates. I believe those are the only gift certificates lingering out there. Thank you for your questions and we look forward to seeing you soon.
I know we have been pushing dinner, but our new revised lunch menu is outstanding as well!!!
