Man, this has got to be the worst thread ever about a new restaurant...

Aw, Jesse... We've done a lot worse than this. Good to see you've found a new home and I look very forward to visiting some day. If not for LHB (your FB profile doesn't say where you're working) I would not have known where to find you. I also had not even heard of this place before yesterday. Please forgive the sideways welcome to the forum and know that there are a lot of good people here. I promise this. Good to read your words, and best wishes.

P.S. Your food photos are beautiful. There's a nice kitchen forum here where lots of pics are shared.

Indeed, Indiana does suck. I had the misfortune of growing up in Southern Indiana and I can well remember standing in Harrison Co, staring across that wide river divide. I asked myself what must life be like for those chosen few, those sophisticated, well-dressed, cultured people, nay.... true immortals living across that river in a lush, cosmopolitan land? A land without rednecks or hayseeds.... where meth labs were but a distant rumour for the denizens of Hardin and Meade Counties.

I chafed at the unfairness of it all. Why dear Lord? Why must I have been born on the wrong side of the River of Enlightenment? Every time I traipsed to the privy with a corncob I swore on my anscestors graves I would escape that horrible land no matter the cost to life and limb and cross that river to the land of the bluiegrass.

P.S.
For the record I'm a 48 year old redneck-savant. I have an important sounding job title although most of my money goes to the social welfare state and my ex-wife. Still, I think wearing a suit and tie to work should validate my opinion on these weighty matters.

I am familiar with how the internet works (I've read YouTube comment threads: it is a dark, dark place), so don't get me wrong, I'm more amused by the meandering and vitriolic tendency of this thread than anything else.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments, everyone. We hope to see you all very soon.

This is what I start singing whenever the Green Door is mentioned. No idea what the 70's porn connection is. Naive, or just British I don't know.

My friend has had lunch there several times, and she says it is very good, nice clientele (I guess that means no Meth Heads!!) I live 4 miles from Corydon and can see both sides of the "argument" Personally, I like living where I have no neighbors who can see into my windows, and Louisville is but 25 minutes away when I fancy some urbanity (if that is not a word then it should be)
