North End Cafe

by Rich S » Thu Sep 15, 2011 11:38 pm

North End Cafe is applying for a liquor license for what's apparently going to be a second location at 2116 Bardstown Road -- the old Club Grotto location. It will be good to have something in that building again.

No doubt! The Highlands will welcome them.

But does the name "North End" work for that location? Central End makes more sense, except it's oxymoronic.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

Bear in mind that Christopher Seckman of North End planted the short-lived Sweet Peas as well as Bluegrass Burgers. This may simply be another restaurant.

I don't know if this will be the actual name, but the legal ad for the liquor license says it will be doing business as "North End Cafe, Highlands."

Yes, North End Cafe is opening a second location in the highlands. We will be offering the same menu (full menu served all day) and value!

I don't know if you'll be able to compete with Twig and Leaf for breakfast! ;-) ;-)

I agree, that will be a great spot and easier parking at that part of Bardstown Road! Can't wait.

Yayayay! We'll be lining up at the door!

I know the other location isn't really *that* far from the Highlands, but it'll sure be nice to just walk up the street. And it'll be nice to have that building occupied again.

I hope they never open one in the Westport Rd. area. Because then we'll go bankrupt. :)

Have finally been in the new location to take a look around. Not a lot of work has to be done, definitely painting and some remodeling. Overall the property looks nice, am looking forward to updating more once we have finalized some things!!!

I have only one word to say about the new place, location x 3. (My brother is in real estate)
Chris, literally "built" that place on Frankfort, and I can't wait to see what he does with the new location. But "Bardstown rd," and "Frankfort ave", are separate entities. We can only hope for the best! And wish him luck!
