Anselmo's

by Bryan Shepherd » Sat Jun 18, 2011 11:56 am

Went by Anselmo's on Bardstown Rd near Eastern Pkwy last night after the track. They are absolutely worth a try!! Everyone in the group had the meatball hoagie and devoured it. The toasted hoagie bun was made for those homemade meatballs and marinara!!

The Maker's and coke was a nice addition :D :D

There are several other sandwiches and pizzas from which to choose, along with spaghetti and lasagna, so put them on your list of "must try" restaurants. And they are open til 2am for that late night munchie and drink.....

Bryan, you realize you're going to have to be reported to the bourbon police for mixing Maker's Mark with Coke don't you?

Yes, the Makers and Coke could be considered as "gravy" in this case

At least he didn't mix good bourbon with coke.

This one time, at the Bank St Brewhouse, I had a hankering for a highball. But they don't serve that kind of thing there. So I ordered a double shot of some fancy schmantcy bourbon and a glass of some fancy schmantcy sugar cane cola and mixed it right up at the table. I suppose what I have just written will cause at least one person here to recoil in horror, kind of like a pony when it sees a copperhead in the stall. But I'll have you know Bank St serves up the best highballs East of the Mississippi, maybe even in the World. That's a fact.
