Cafe Lou Lou's Delivery

by Linda C » Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:00 pm

Kudos to Cafe Lou Lou and their new delivery service. I live about 2 miles away and my order for 3 people arrived in 15 minutes both times. They use biodegradable containers. Their delivery is FREE. They have friendly and cute delivery guys. (that was from my daughter)

It's great to have another delivery option besides pizza and Chinese!

Do both Lou Lou's deliver, or only one? If one, which one?

Most of us dont even have "and Chinese" as a delivery option. I really cant believe that after all these years Pizza is still the only delivery option in most of the area.

Take out Taxi is a nice attempt to fill that void but it falls short and is mostly geared toward the business lunch crowd.

I understand there's lots o headaches with insurance and what not but i wish more restaurants would take on delivery on their own. Pizza palces have build their business around it, no reason other places cant.

I agree Mike. Jimmy Johns delivers but has a really small delivery area. Puccini's in St Matthews delivers now. China One in St Matthews is our go to when in the mood. Cafe Lou Lou doesn't specify how large of an area they service; it says to call the restaurant for that info.

I'll place money on them not delivering to Jeffersonville. :P

I'm with Mike G. I can't get any variety of Asian delivered to me without takeout taxi, which just makes it too expensive (and has never turned anything around in 15 minutes).

Hey Guys, I will try to clear up the issue of where we deliver.......from the highlands we go as far out as 264 and btown, to the park, to germantown and some downtown.... st mathews pics up the other side of the park to indian hills to lower brownsboro...that being said we will go just about anywhere within reason, and while im sure this will anger some I kind of leave it to the mangers discretion.....some nights we arent that busy and will go to hikes point, on other nights we are slammed and it wouldnt be fair to our in area customers to go that far out.....so really i guess there is no solid answer but if we CAN get there without messing with the integrity of the food we will be there....thanks a ton for all the support and sorry for the cloudy answer....feel free to post a street and ill post a yes or no....thanks again

I want to give Clay and the folks at Cafe Lou Lou Highlands some props. I live in Highgate Springs...just past 264 off Taylorsville Rd. Most times when I call they will deliver to me..so I am gracious and try to tip the driver nicely. They have a 100% accuracy rate on all my orders...down to "a little extra sauce...split the small sald...etc." Once I rec'd a pizza that I didn't feel was up to their normal standards. Upon alerting management, I think they offered me 50% off my next order or something...and were quite affable and apologetic about it. I love Lou Lou's delivery.

On a few occasions, probably Friday nights, they've told me that delivery would take an extended time, or they were unable to deliver...not a problem, I just went and carried out.

So glad there's a Lou Lou's in St Matt's and the Highlands!

I've ordered Lou Lou delivery many times in the Highlands, and each time have felt sooo privileged. As quick as any other delivery and NO more expensive when you consider that they don't charge a penny for a delivery fee. It's amazing, seriously. I LOVE that I get to call ahead to find out what the soup and special is, because they have them! Changes every day. It's bar none the best delivery option I've ever found and I can't believe it isn't more expensive. The menu is gormet, the portions are huge, the packaging is sophisticated, the speed is expedient, and the service is smart. I feel like I should shut up now because the word will go wild and I'll pay the price, but I definitely also feel like I owe a few thank yous. Or maybe it's built in to the cost of my highlands abode ;-).

Seconded. We live very close to Lou Lou Highlands, and it is our go-to for delivery. Even during very busy hours, we've never had to wait more than 30-35 minutes, and a few times our food has arrived in 15-20 minutes.

In fact, sometimes I feel a bit guilty getting delivery - we live close enough to walk there in 10 or 15 minutes.
