Restaurant.com will also allow you to exchange a certificate that you cannot use because a business is closed.

Sounds like a nightmare for you. The restauant business is challenging enough without the issues you are dealing with. Impressive numbers and always saw crowds on porch when I passed between stores. My husband was so disappointed last night. Good luck and keep us posted.

BTW, I see your ad on the bus stop bench in Fern Creek everyday. Is it a shrimp or a crawfish?

The Logo is a Jockey riding a Crawfish.....

I commissioned Nick Martinez, a former jockey turned artist, to draw it up for me in 1992......The very first drawing he did was perfect!!!!!!

Bummer! I talked to Scott and Andrew earlier this week and they seemed to have things "semi" under control. They just started on Dining with Steve last Sunday, and we did sell some certs...Hope everything turns out ok, and yes, keep us posted!

Kari is right. I had bought some Pig City certificates right before they closed and Restaurant.com gave me credit towards new certificates. Just call them or email them - http://www.restaurant.com/customer_service.asp?pgn=who

We tried Furlong's a year or so ago - didn't like it, and haven't returned. Tommy, I hope you get your business back and improve both the food and the service. For now, our absolutely favorite Cajun food either comes from our own kitchen, or from Selena's - had a fabulous dinner at Selena's on Friday night - they do it right!!

I think it's commendable that Mr. Walters has addressed the forum directly. Thank you sir.
Perhaps when the dust settles we could do an off-line there.

Tommy you are a class act. I hope this closure results in you being able to reopen the way it should have been in the first place(2nd actually). I remember the first incarnation of Furlong's being classy, very well made Creole cuisine. I never tried the one that just closed.
I felt like Tommy got a raw deal, although I will state that I don't know the whole story, just bits and pieces.
Some of what I think I know may not even be true, but Tommy has always presented himself as someone I would give the benefit of the doubt to.
That being said, I felt that until it returned to Tommy's leadership, it would not be able to measure up to the original, so I never bothered.
It is sad to see the lost jobs.

Thank You Rick.......

You are right there are 2 sides to every story.....

I'm terribly sorry for the employees too.....

The saddest part is that it did not have to close......It was doing just as I had projected!!!!!!!

We will have our day in court........

We went by there today and all of the outside furniture from the bar area is gone. Obviously the present ownership doesn't plan on reopening.
