I detest Outback because of the cheesy, faux-Australian advertising imagery they foist on the clueless public, this being, after all, a chain based in Florida. It's almost as bad as Foster's: Australian for "made in Canada," or wherever the contract brewing is done now.

The three I agree with are Chipotle, Jason's, and Ted's.

Chipotle--hands down outclasses their main competition
Jason's--salad bar is hard to beat for quality and value
Ted's--unique, but not necessarily great food. Still, it's a nice change of pace especially when you have visitors that may not be up for the local fare.

I agree regarding the quality of food at Carrabba's, Bonefish, and Outback. However, with the abundance of local restaurants in Louisville, I don't think I would opt to go to one of those places unless I was out of town. Same thing with CPK... way too many pizzerias in town for that.

and I can understand the appeal of the Cheesecake Factory particularly for families.
