Traveling down to Hilton Head later this summer....it's been two years since our last visit, so would like to catch up on anything new with the dining scene down there...thanks in advance. 8)

We liked the Sea Shack, seafood was great and its cheap, not gourmet but made well and lots of locals eat there.

The former chef of Sea Shack has his own restaurant called Roastfish and Cornbread. The menu is similar and his place is bigger. There will be a wait if you don't get their early like 5:00. The food is good and cheap and it's located on Marshland Rd. off of 278. Go to tripadvisor.com and get traveler reviews of HHI restaurants.

Heading to Hilton Head next week, so I thought I'd bump this for some new recs.

We'll be staying on North Forest/Coligny area. Usually hit up Big Bamboo, Steamers, Crazy Crab, etc...

...I know Robert Irvine has a place there, 'EAT'. I loathe his show/TV personality, but apparently dude can cook. He did win Iron Chef.

Anyone been there, or have any other go-to spots there?

The Plantation Cafe & Deli is just up the street from where you're staying (on Pope Ave)...great breakfast menu w/reasonable prices.
