We had the joy of enjoying a cheese pizza yesterday from Papalino's. In full disclosure, Alan is a friend, and has worked w/ Anoosh. But, we arent' biased because the pizza was great! Fresh oregano, fresh mozzarella, slightly sweet sauce. The best was the box was not dripping w/ grease by the time it got home 30 minutes after we picked it up. The crust was foldable, and not the slightest bit soggy. They are open til 5 am on the weekends, and deliver. All pizzas are 18", and they also sell by the slice. I believe they will be serving beer in the near future. Definitely worth eating. :D

I just returned with dinner from Papalino's. We decided to try a little of everything. An 18" cheese pizza with light sauce for me, an order of breadsticks, and a pancetta meatball, red onion, and sauteed garlic spinach calzone for Doug. Doug said that it was the best calzone in Louisville. The service was really friendly and we'll definitely be back. I don't recommed having leftovers though because the boxes barely fit in our refrigerator.

Just had it delivered at our Seviche meeting. Wow! Alan did his homework. His quality ingredients alone and the amazing crust. I think it's some of the best pizza I have ever had. Seriously! My whole staff went crazy over it. Good Job!

I had lunch with my husband yesterday and loved it. The by-the-slice is huge and I loved the garlicky spinach topping. 25 cents per topping is a great price for additional toppings.

I just got back from enjoying the best slice of pie I've had in this town. It is $3 and it's a quarter of a pie. Ed, there was a misprint on the menu- the toppings by the slice are .25- not $1.50.
They make their own sausage, roast their own peppers etc. They will be using Showeltee (I know that isn't even close to the correct spelling) Mushrooms when available.
Allan and Shelly- great job!
Good luck keeping up with the business I know you will get.

I was there around the same time as Gary and picked up a pepperoni pizza to go. Though the dough was a little tough near the edge for my taste, the sauce was one of the best things I have ever had. It is pizza sauce crack (not that I have ever tried the real thing.) While I was waiting for my pizza I saw them make a slice with the italian sausage and I think I began to publicly drool. The owner said they sold over 100 pies on Sunday, only their 3rd day open. This place look like a winner and I believe runs rings around Spinelli's.
Have a Good Day!

We were there for lunch today and loved it!!! We both had salads, which were fantastic, and a big SLICE (1/4 if an 18" pizza) of pizza--could not have eaten another bite--huge slices. The homemade Italian sausage was wonderful, plenty of fennel, the sauce was great, the fresh basil was very evident and the mushrooms were very fresh. Unfortunately, they were out of the garlic spinach but I will have that next time :( :( Real Kalamatas'!!! Can't wait to go back!! Best of luck to Alan, Shelley and all involved.
