Jackie- your mom ROCKS!
Yes, Toki did have some friends in for lunch today- if the tease was any indication it should be a real winner. It was a delicious mix of Asian and world wide flavors.
I'm all in for an off line- but of course opening week is the week I am out of town
So I will not be there opening day as I dreamed but if there is interest in going later I will gladly be there.

Re: My mother - Thanks Gary! I'm a lucky lucky girl. I actually asked her just the other day if she remembered you, and she did, so I'm guessing she approached you? I'm glad she got to spend time with two of my favorite people yesterday.

Re: Offline - It's just as well that we wait until after the opening anyway, I think. And do we actually know for sure that she's open for lunch? I'll be out of town for most of the opening week, but I'm available for anything following.

So far we have the following interested:

Gary
Paul
Gayle
Jackie
Robin and Mary
Tom and Gina
Melissa
Rececca
Joseph
Steve
Tentative: Suzi and Richard
Tentative: Kim

With a party of that size, we shouldn't have much trouble deciding on a date and time.

Assuming they are serving lunch, does a weekday lunch suit everyone?

And if so, would you all just want to go ahead and call it for Monday, July 27th? Just throwing the idea out there, please don't hestitate to chime in.

I tend to lean towards 1, but if a majority of people disagree then I'm flexible.

I have to go to a wine tasting ("have to," hahaha) in the afternoon, so honestly, earlier would be better for me. But I'm flexible too, and can eat and run.

Count me in, too. I'm good for any lunchtime on a Monday.

I'm fine with whatever time. I have the day off and will be coming home from a short vacation, so I'll be wide open.

I will go down as a tenative - I have to make sure there is nothing going on at work before I can commit. Richard is off a lot of Mondays, so he may be able to come.

I think it's settled then. Looks like there are no protests to Monday, July 27th 1pm

Robin, can we move this thread to the offline forum?

Mark your calendars!!! Gary, will you make the reservation? I'll send a reminder PM to everyone leading up to the date.
