Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza. D Barry

Me and the Hubby went to the new Boombozz tonight and we sat at the"ice bar". We ordered a couple of Shlafly IPA and a delicious Goat cheese marinara. The music was a little loud but it seemed they were working out some kinks. A great addition to the Highlands.

I'm seeing Magic Hat more and more around the city. Good to hear.

The Kroger in Shelbyville started selling a 12 pack Magic Hat sampler box recently.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

We were able to get their summer sampler pack in a few weeks ago.... pretty decent lineup in there.

Hi JD! Could you elaborate on the goat cheese marinara? Was it an app? Sounds yummy!

I would assume its #9 as that is the only Magic Hat beer I have seen on tap in this market or any other that they have been in.

Yes, #9.

We ate there on Thursday, and were impressed. The expanded menu looks pretty good, but we stuck with our tried and true pizza favorites. The pizza actually tasted better than we remembered before they closed. They appear to still be working some kinks out (service was a little slow, our salads came out after the pizza, didn't get wheat crust like we ordered), but our server was great. The place was PACKED, too, which couldn't have helped on their second day. Taking all that into consideration, they're doing a great job so far.

It's very nice on the inside, with lots of well placed televesions for game watching. One room has a sliding door/wall that allows them to open the entire side to Eastern Parkway, which was great on that temperate Thursday evening. The tap list (21 I think) is solid, as are the prices, with most pints being in the $3.75 to under $5.00 range.

They appear to still be deciding on operating hours. Our server said they haven't yet decided whether to stay open to the 2am range on weekends, or close at midnight. Based on location (and proximity to my casa), here's to hoping they stay open on the later end.

Overall, great job so far.

Does anyone know if the menu on the website for the "Highlands" location is up-to-date for the new taphouse?
