We're going up again in a few months (Springsteen exhibit at R&R Museum - Bruuuuuce!) and I'd love some suggestions on breakfast, lunch and dinner. We're good with dives or high-end. We'll be staying downtown, but will have a car if needed. Thanks!
Hmmmm...
Whitey's Booze and Burgers - Richfield. An easy 25 minute drive from downtown. Sorry Louisville but the burgers at Whitey's blow away anything I've had here (so far !!!).
The Winking Lizard - Downtown, etc. A cool little local mini-chain (6 locations)...a notch above your average sports bar. MOF I just ate there tonight (Spinach salad and some wings). Consistently good bar fare. DON'T get the pizza.
If you make it to Akron (35 min south): Luigi's Pizza. Open until 5am. Serves alcohol until 2:30am. Some of the best pizza anywhere. It's under the Y" bridge...google it for directions.
Fat Fish Blue. Downtown. Don't even know if it's still around but if it is it's a good casual dining hotspot
Don's Pomaroy House. Strongsville. 1 mile off I-71 - 10 minutes from downtown. Was always my "go to" place when I lived in the area. Upscale but casual to business casual.
BTW...Becky and I have been Bruce's #1 fans going back to the Allen Theatre days ('74) when Cleveland (WMMS) "broke" Springsteen nationally. That being said we were both VERY disappointed in the new CD...Made me want to gouge my eyes out with my car keys.
Check back in a day or two...I'll ask the "homies" what's hot up there at the moment.
Enjoy the Rock Hall...It's an awesome place.
