Things we ate:

Fried chicken
Fried chicken livers
Rolled oysters
French fries
Pretzel sticks
Greens
Green beans
Macaroni & cheese
Liverwurst/braunschweiger sandwich
Austern oyster shooters

Am I leaving anything out? I thought everything was great - they have deep-frying down to an art form. Very little grease, everything so crispy! And you know how sometimes you feel awful a few hours after eating fried food? None of that feeling yesterday. I wouldn't say we were "light as a feather" - we were pretty full, but not uncomfortably so.

Afterwards, we went over to Nach Bar. Great beer selection, lots of outside seating.

Nice day.

This was so much fun! I hope you all will come back for the Schnitzelburg Walk at the end of April.

We ate at the bar while you were there. Had been to UL baseball game so we were working our way home.
Rolled oyster, hunter schnitzel - included pretzel stick, breaded pork tenderloin - very crispy, red cabbage, potato cake, 1 add'l side - chose German potato salad to stay in the theme. Took some of the fried chicken, with slaw and macaroni and cheese, along with out leftovers to our younger to sample. She lives about 7 min. away and was excited about the prospect of another carryout location - really reasonably priced. (Sampled the chicken at her house. Really crispy. Not greasy. Not as much flavor as I would like but not underflavored.)
Will have to tag along/shadow for the Schnitzelberg walk.
