Jerry's J-boy

by KirkHarrod » Fri Mar 06, 2009 3:37 pm

I hit Jerry's out by Southern High School recently. I had not seen a Jerry's in years. The J-boy burger was great. Much better than a Frisch's big boy. Thicker patties, better tasting tartar sauce. It was excellent.

I only know of 2 left, Kirk. The one you hit and the one on 10th in Jeffersonville just down from Mai's Thai. Grew up with the one in Middletown and would hit it after church. The one in Jeff has some good basic staples like the J Bird and the J-Boy, really nice people as well. Reminds me of quite a few good basic places that have faded away.

Isn't there still a Jerry's on Dixie Highway, south of the Watterson?

"I might have to disagree with you on that Bob"...

It's hard to beat a Big Boy...Consistantly slightly better than average and has never disappointed...I do have a soft spot for the J-Boy(from the Jeffersonville location), but for my tastes that are purely subjective, I prefer the Frishe's version...

...as well as another in Cave City, just off I-65 (at least as of last year) and unfortunately was showing its age...

And one in Mt. Sterling, right off I-64, the first Mt. Sterling exit (when going east).

And, I'm not positive, but I think I remember one off I-75 at the first Richmond, KY exit (going south).
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
