OFFLINE AT MELILLO'S

by Rebecca Clark » Thu Nov 20, 2008 9:09 am

To get started from another thread:

Who's up for an offline at Melillo's and when is the best date?

I'll get this ball rolling ...
Any day but Wednesday;
Any weekend BUT December 5th & 6th

Who else? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

Maybe we could do something like the Red pepper trip. Have a set amount for each person and go for a large Amer/Italian feast. Im down for a Melillos offline, but I dont want to come off like were"celebrating" the closing of this place.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Not a celebration ... a very large thank-you for a wonderful establishment. No intention of making it sound like a celebration.

I know what you intended....I guess I just feel a bit guilty having a good time while knowing they are going thru a very rough time. I hope this offline gets of the ground. Count Anne and I in.

Oh, how sad that Melillo's is closing. I like John's suggestion for a large Amer/Italian feast for a warm, blue, fuzzy goodbye/

Monday and Tuesday are good for me, too. But Melillo's isn't open on Mondays, so we'd have to see if we can get enough people together to warrant them opening just for us...

Count Mary and me in ... we're fairly open on timing, subject to the issue that December's calendar can get busy.

I would suggest that we also post a note about this thread in the main forum to be sure everyone is aware of it.

Either December 2nd or 9th (both are a Tuesday) ... lunch or dinner ....

Post which one you would prefer.

I prefer the 9th. John can only come if it's dinner - but I could come either lunch or dinner.
