Red Pepper Offline: READ IMPORTANT NOTE AT END

by Ed Vermillion » Tue Oct 14, 2008 7:29 am

We really enjoy Red Pepper and it is fun to have a group pick out their favorite items and share. How about a forum offline? I'll toss out Saturday November 1st as a possible date, anyone interested?

Ed, are you suggesting lunch around noon or an evening meal? I can do lunch, but my evening is not free? Like Bill, I would love to try the Red Pepper.

GREAT IDEA! Mary and I are IN.

This will give those of us who love Red Pepper a chance to show it, and those who haven't discovered it yet a chance to find out why so many of us are going on about it.

The hostess told us one time that if we ever came in with a group, the chef could do a special SIchuan banquet. Think we ought to go for that?

We'd hate to miss you, Gayle, but I do think an event like this should be an evening meal. The chef will be better able to show his stuff when he's not turning out quick fried-rice lunch specials for the midday crowd.

Okay, when we reach consensus on time and date and have a ballpark on the number, Mary and I will go over and talk to them about it. They pretty much know who I am because it was rather obvious after we ate there eight times and then a rave turned up in LEO. ;)

How about time? Gayle raised the lunch issue because she's only free for lunch, and I respect that, but I honestly feel we'd get a more lavish and exciting banquet in the evening.

The Sichuan banquet sounds great. I just checked my calendar and I am free almost any other evening, or if I have plans they could easily be changed. But on November 1, I have a ticket to the Arlo Gutherie concert and I won't change that.

Have a wonderful time everyone- I am planning on being in NYC that week so I won't be joining you. I was so hoping we would be doing an off-line at RP- I'm really sorry I won't be enjoying their delicious food with all my forum friends.

Well, I'm not absolutely sure Nov. 1 is nailed down, Gary. Ed threw it out there, but if it doesn't work for you or Gayle, it might be worth considering a different date.
