Gayle, my wife's name is Mary Johnson ... I thought you knew her.

Why don't you put us down for a good stash of Blue Dog bread? If I get ambitious and decide I would rather make something instead, I'll let you know.

Oh, Robin, of course I know your wife's name is Mary Johnson, but I realized that I had put down full last names for some forumites who always go by last initial only, so I went back in and editted. For some reason, I thought you always referred to Mary as "my bride" when on the web. I'll go back in and edit it once more.

Richard and I have been discussing and I know I will make a scalloped tomato casserole with some of the local tomatoes. I have some peeled and frozen (they cook up great!) if suitable fresh are not availaible then. I have a new Roobios cherry tea to make iced tea, too. Richard is going to wait and see what Fresh Market has to offer (and he better get me some good tomatoes if my other sources are not there!) that week. :D

If there's still room, count me and possibly my boyfriend, Doug, in!

Jessica,

Yes, there still is room for you and boyfriend Doug. We will all be anxious to hear how the kindergarten class is doing. Be sure to bring pictures. I will send you a PM with directions, etc. -Gayle

However, to the rest of you out there, as the number is in the 32-34 range, I now need to close this invitation.

Doug won't be able to make it, but I'll be there with a sweet and savory surprise.

I am so very sorry I couldn't make the gathering Sunday. We had a horrific mess here in Crestwood with downed branches and powerlines( just like everyone else I expect). There was no getting out of here. How did the party go?

It was a lot of fun! A good group came (we got lucky and, except for being out of electricity for two days, didn't have any bad neighborhood damage - and since we live just off I-64 and so does Gayle, it wasn't hard getting out there.

The food was excellent, too. Gayle's three-kinds-of-meatballs were excellent, and everyone brought delicious side dishes and desserts. I wimped out by bringing Blue Dog bread and fancy fresh butter from Lotsa Pasta, but made up for my slothfulness with a bag of wine bottles. :D

I got an iPhone shot or two, which I'll post soon. Would have said something sooner but ... no electricity! I did have a high-powered laptop so I was able to pop into the forum from time to time, but couldn't waste batteries processing and uploading photos and such.
