Anyone know where I can get them? I'm making a picnic lunch for my team at work. TIA!

Silly question, but I wonder if a friendly local chopsticks house would sell you a stack of empties, if you can get past the language barrier.

Might also try The Dine Co. on Preston, or call one of the bigger Asian markets?

If it's not too late, you can order them from The Container Store online.

Chinese style take out containers

by Kim H » Tue Apr 10, 2007 11:36 pm

Oh, that's a great tip, Robin! I bet there's some little Chinese restauants around work that would be willing to sell me a few! Or, maybe an excuse to go to Thai Smile - I know they now use those containers. I'm curious about Dine Company, though. I'll call them, but do you know if they're open to the public? Seems like their used to be a restaurant supply company on Bardstown just south of Taylorsville, kind of behind the Chevron - do you know who I mean, and if they're still there? Thanks so much! :o)

Oh, now, THAT is the place to go! It might be too late for this event, but what a great resource - thanks!

Dine Co. is on Preston not far from Value City. They are definitely open to the public, having greatly enlarged their store a couple of years ago.

Michael's usually carries something similar. I've recently seen brightly colored spring ones, but no traditional white and red ones.

All the craft stores sell them -- I was at Hobby Lobby in Clarksville the other day and saw a spring/Easter display of them, and they probably have solid colors as well. If you're going to order online, just Google "Chinese take out box" and you get a million options.

I never would've thought of craft stores, and that's probably the most convenient for me this weekend. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!
